Children's Liturgy
This group is for children aged 3 to Pre-Communion and meets during term-time in the hall during the first part of the Sunday 9.00am Mass.
A representative child proudly bearing the Children's Gospel Book aloft joins the Altar Entrance Procession.
After the Penitential Rite, the priest invites the children to assemble at the front of Church and they are led out by the Gospel Book bearer (and some very capable adults!) for their own, child-friendly Liturgy of the Word.
Another representative child will return to lead a specially-prepared Bidding Prayer, and the rest of the children return to the Church, and their families at the Offertory.
We are always looking for more adults to help run the Chlidren's Liturgy, so if you'd like to help, please speak to one of the welcoming team.
